Inspired by their legendary Block Party events in Chicago, FACE have produced the London leg of craft beer brewer Goose Island’s mini-festival brand experience for three years. Curating the events end=to-end, FACE deliver a heady mix of music, food and amazing beer to help tell Goose Island’s story to UK consumers.
APPROACH
To make the distinction from generic beer-sponsored live music shows, we challenged ourselves to find unique urban settings in which to stage these flagship events. FACE then negotiated partnerships with some great artists , including The Vaccines, Everything Everything and White Lies, while creating bespoke activations and environments that showcase Goose Island’s tasty beers around the event.
DELIVERY
We scored two great years over at Shoreditch’s Red Market, turning a street food market into a fully realised outdoor gig venue in the heart of East London.
With the redevelopment of Red Market in 2018, we went for a moon-shot at the Oval in Cambridge Heath, combining use of the Oval Space venues with a never-before achieved road closure for an outdoor stage. 2019 looks like being even bigger!
RESULTS
Now in its fourth year, LDN Block Party is a regular highlight in London’s musical calendar, selling out in advance each year.
From one-to-one consumer experiences at the event to wider PR and social media amplification, the campaign gives an authentic slice of what Goose Island Beer Co. is all about.
